Gringos is a Malia restaurant that’s so famous and popular on the island, it would be simply unforgivable for you not to go there at least once this summer!Gringos has been bringing all the traditional fun flavours of Mexico to the party island of Malia for years now! Inside Gringos expect a lively Mexican atmosphere with crazy decorations and South American music to help you get your groove on before the food arrives! Enjoy their world famous burritos, enchiladas and cheese-heavy plates of nachos, plus all-you-can-eat barbecue spare ribs! If you’re a dessert person then this place is like a dream come true! Gringos homemade dessert menu is incredible! Check out their chocolate fudge ‘monster’ cake and fruit chimichangas wrapped in puff pastry- they are well worth the extra calories!!!

    RED LION GASTROPUB AND RESTAURANT
    We have waxed lyrical about delving into the exquisite Greek cuisine whilst on holiday this summer- but it’s hard to resist the indulgence of some of our British food comforts from home!Unlike the more rural areas of Greece- Malia isn’t all just about Greek food such as kleftiko and moussaka – Malia is a resort which is also pretty adept at catering for the British!The Red Lion pub and restaurant has become an iconic pub in Malia since opening way back in 1999. This Malia Restaurant deserves a special Mention when it comes to Serving up great British food on the island. They serve the best English breakfasts on the island all day, The best BBQ’s meats and premium quality steaks, fresh homemade burgers and much much more. This Malia restaurant is definitely one of the go-to places if you’re missing a bit of home!Besides quality food and great drinks,The Red Lion Pub has plenty on offer to Keep you entertained-including American Style pool tables, darts board and A playstation wired up to their huge plasmas where they regularly stage FIFA Tournaments. The Red Lion also shows all the live Premier league games and even has a beer garden- what more could you possibly want lol!
    MILOS
    Milos is a Malia Restaurant that should definitely be on your ‘restaurants to try’ list this summer! Milos Restaurant is as Greek as it gets and is the perfect Malia Restaurant if you’re looking to try some of the beautiful local Greek cuisine. Milos is a beautiful, incredibly atmospheric restaurant that is located in the quaint Malia old town. Head down for a well needed time out from the non-stop Malia nightlife and enjoy a quieter evening with succulent, tantalising Greek food- like fall-off-the-bone lamb and rabbit. This famous Malia restaurant has an traditional clay oven in its garden, and a lot of the freshly-grown ingredients on the property as well, so you know your meals ingredients are as fresh as you can get!The authentic atmosphere here also includes some great live music during the week with some traditional Greek dancing thrown in! And no Greek holiday to Malia is complete without some famous Greek plate smashing!
    DRAGON HOUSE CHINESE RESTAURANT
    This Malia Restaurant is a well established family run restaurant, a stones throw away from the Malia nightlife scene.Dragon house Chinese Restaurant makes our list of great Malia Restaurants because, well… everybody loves a good Chinese dont they, and this one tops the bill for the us!Dragon house has a fantastic authentic Chinese cuisine, including a large selection of traditional and exciting dim sum, Plus all your Chinese favourites that you’d normally delve into during a weekend back home.Check out their seafood delicacies, Hong Kong-style rotisserie, quality meat dishes, hotpots, vegan and vegetarian options.This restaurant is spotless and the service is always quick and friendly down at the Dragon House! Definitely worth a visit!
    KALESMA TAVERNA
    Another fantastic Greek style Malia restaurant to check out whilst You’re here is the much loved Kalesma Restaurant. This famous Malia Restaurant can be found in the heart of Malia Old village. Set in an very atmospheric, beautiful old stone building with Greek music playing on a nightly basisThe menu has a wide variety of Greek food which will ensure that everyone will find something that they like. Just like the Spanish have their Tapas, there is a similar style of eating in Greece called a Meze. This is a great way to try the beautiful Greek cuisine, by ordering numerous different small dishes and sampling as much as you can.
    STABLES AND ELIZABETH
    The award for the best taverna on Old Malia’s main square definitely goes out to Stables and Elizabeth. We love the authentic of this famous Malia Restaurant, with plenty of knick-knacks, local decorations and local music playing in the background. The fantastically prepared Greek and international foods are best enjoyed on this restaurants beautiful rooftop garden.Word of warning However- the local Greek house white wine which the staff generously pour for you from their authentic copper jugs May taste like apple juice, but is absolutely lethal! We’ve seen many people have to crawl drunkenly out from this Malia Restaurant! Lol
